Determining when the coding process is complete with the KUFATEC 39920 Application Coding Interface depends on your dongle's LED configuration. Here's how to tell:
If your dongle has one LED:
- Plug the KUFATEC interface into your vehicle's OBD II port.
- The LED will initially glow red, indicating the coding process has started.
- Once the LED turns off, the coding is complete, and you can remove the interface. This process can take up to a minute, depending on your vehicle.
If your dongle has two LEDs (red and green):
- Plug the KUFATEC interface into your vehicle's OBD II port.
- Both the red and green LEDs will light up when coding begins.
- The green LED will flash or flicker during the coding process.
- When the red LED turns off and only the green LED remains constantly lit, the coding is finished. Remove the interface. This process can also take up to a minute.
After Coding Completion:
It's crucial to follow the bus rest procedure:
- Turn off the ignition and close all vehicle doors.
- Lock the car using your remote.
- Allow the vehicle to sit undisturbed for about 10 minutes.
- If your car has a keyless entry system, ensure the key is not inside or near the vehicle.
For any installation or operational issues, KUFATEC provides support via phone, email, and their workshop in Bad Segeberg.
