Installing your Wet Sounds Stealth AS-6 active subwoofer involves several steps to ensure optimal performance. Here's a guide to help you get it set up:
Mounting the Enclosure: First, select a suitable location in your vehicle for the subwoofer enclosure. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and secure. Use the provided hardware to firmly attach the enclosure. For the AS-6 model, attach the supplied mounting feet using the provided hardware. These feet are designed to be rotatable, allowing for a better fit on the vehicle's floor.
Wiring the Harness: Wiring differs slightly based on your vehicle's power source.
Remote Turn-On Wire: Connect the Blue Remote Turn On Wire to the Remote Turn On output from your source unit. If you're using a Wet Sounds Stealth Sound Bar, this is a blue wire. In a traditional head unit, this connection is often labeled "power antenna remote". Ensure the AUTO TURN ON switch on the subwoofer's built-in amplifier is set to the "REM" position if using this method.
Signal Input: Route the 3.5mm plug labeled "Signal Input" to an audio output from your source unit. For Wet Sounds Sound Bars, connect to the 3.5mm jack labeled "AUX OUT". If using a traditional head unit with RCA preamp outputs, you may need a 3.5mm-to-RCA adapter.
Remote Level Control: Connect the 3.5mm jack labeled "Remote Level Control" to the supplied Remote Level Control. This control lets you easily adjust the subwoofer's output. Mount it in an accessible location.
Amplifier Adjustments: Consult the manual for detailed instructions on adjusting the Auto Turn On switch, Gain, Variable Crossover Network, Variable Bass Boost, and Phase Control to optimize your subwoofer's performance. The complete instruction manual includes additional information and diagrams to assist you during the process.
