Installing the VCC2001-A1 Voice CPU Card into the VCA2002-A1 Card Cage of your FV2025/2050 Fire Voice Control Panel is straightforward. Follow these steps for a successful installation:
Safety First: Before you begin, always disconnect the electrical power supply to the FV2025/2050 Fire Voice Control Panel.
Accessing the Card Cage: Open both the middle and lower inner doors of the FV2025/2050 Fire Voice Control Panel. Locate the VCA2002-A1 Card Cage and unscrew the latch found on the center-bottom of its front cover. Slide the cover upwards until it is clear of the cage assembly.
Inserting the Voice CPU Card: Orient the VCC2001-A1 Voice CPU Card as shown in the manual (consult Figure 4 for visual guidance). Carefully insert the card into the backplane connector labeled X202. Use the channel guides inside the top and bottom of the Card Cage to help align the card properly. When inserting the card, gently push on the center of the molded plastic card handle until you hear a click, indicating it's securely in place. Make sure the card sits perpendicular to the front of the card cage, between the two indented metal card guides at the top and bottom.
Mounting and Connections: If you are connecting the Fire Voice Panel to an Ethernet Ring, install the necessary Ethernet Modules through the knockouts located at the top of the Card Cage. Follow the installation instructions provided with these modules. Replace the Card Cage cover by sliding it back into the top of the Card Cage and down until it reaches the bottom. Secure the latch to fasten the Card Cage cover.
Power Up: Once you have completed the installation, restore the electrical power to the FV2025/2050 Fire Voice Control Panel. Following these guidelines will help ensure your VCC2001-A1 Voice CPU Card is correctly installed.
