Installing the TRIPLETT SP200 Surge Protector is a straightforward process to safeguard your Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices from voltage surges. Here's how to do it: First, determine the placement of the surge protector within your network. It's best placed inline between your PoE device and your network switch to provide maximum protection. Next, connect the surge protector. Use an Ethernet cable to connect your PoE device to the "Input" port (1 x RJ45) on the SP200. Then, use another Ethernet cable to connect the "Output" port (1 x RJ45) of the SP200 to your network switch or router. Ensure your PoE device complies with IEEE 802.3af or IEEE 802.3at standards, as the surge protector supports these. The SP200 does not require a separate power source; it operates directly through the PoE connection. After installation, verify the connection by confirming network connectivity and that your PoE device is receiving power. When installing, keep in mind the operating temperature range of -10 to 75℃ and humidity levels up to 95% for optimal performance of your TRIPLETT SP200 PoE Surge Protector.
