To properly attach the front wheel to your Baby Trend XCEL-R8 Plus Jogging Stroller, follow these steps: First, remove the fold latch, which is located on the right side of the stroller. Next, lean the stroller back so it rests on its handle and rear axle frame, positioning the front wheel forks upwards. Now, slide the front wheel onto these front forks. Take the retainer plate and slide it onto the front wheel, making sure the raised lip faces the fork; insert it into the slot on the fork. Before tightening, confirm the tab on the retainer plate aligns with the slot. Then, install the axle nuts and tighten them using a standard crescent, box, or open-end wrench until you feel significant resistance, ensuring the wheel is held firmly in place. Once complete, lift the front wheel and tap the top of the tire to confirm secure attachment. If you notice any front wheel wobble beyond regular use during walking or jogging, you may need to adjust the front wheel housing nut. This nut is located under the footrest, at the front of the jogger. Use a crescent wrench to tighten it, but be careful not to overtighten, as this could damage the wheel housing. Always double-check that the front wheel is securely attached before each use of your Baby Trend XCEL-R8 Plus Jogging Stroller to prevent any accidents or injuries.
