Next, determine your "toe-line" on the floor. For steel tip darts, this line should be 7'9 1/4" from the dartboard's face, and for soft tip darts, it's 8 feet. If using an AC adapter, position the board near an outlet and remove the batteries. Now, the key is the height: the bullseye's center should be 5'8" from the floor. Make a temporary mark at this height. Measure the distance between the top hang hole on the back of your board and the center of the board's back. Use this measurement to mark the wall above your 5'8" mark where the top hang hole will be. Drill an appropriate screw into this mark. Hang the dartboard by aligning the hole with the screw and tighten until snug. For extra security, use the bottom hang holes.
