Installing ProBEAM Dynamic Strips LED Turn Signals (PB-DS-14-BLK) on your motorcycle involves a series of steps. Here's a detailed guide to help you through the process:
- Begin by removing your motorcycle's existing turn signal assembly. This typically involves unscrewing the securing nuts.
- Disconnect the wiring connector from the existing turn signal assembly.
- Remove the mounting studs from the fork using a wrench or socket.
- Repeat the above steps to remove the turn signal assembly from the opposite side.
- Next, remove the top T27 Torx bolts from the outer fairing and then remove the windshield.
- Reinstall the center T27 Torx bolt to keep the fairing secure while you remove the inner fairing bolts.
- Take out the T27 Torx bolts from both the left and right sides of the inner fairing.
- Disconnect the connector from the headlamp, and carefully lay the fairing on a flat surface.
- Connect the male connector of the AW Converter harness into the female connector on your motorcycle's factory turn signal wiring harness.
- Plug the male plug on the ProBEAM Dynamic Strips harness into the hole in the fork frame and connect it to the female connector of the AW Converter.
- Attach the ProBEAM Dynamic Strips to the fork frame using the provided button head bolts and washers.
- Use the provided wire ties to secure the wiring harnesses and converters, ensuring they are protected during the fairing installation.
- Reinstall the fairing and windshield, following the reverse order of removal, and make sure all bolts are correctly placed.
- With the ignition off, activate the hazard flashers for 3 minutes. This will sync the BCM with the ProBEAM Dynamic Strips.
- Finally, test all lighting modes to confirm they are functioning correctly.
