Setting up your Aube TH146-P-2H1C programmable thermostat involves a few key steps. First, you'll need to handle the physical installation. Position the control module (CT280-2H1C) near your heating or cooling system, away from heat sources. Mount the user console (TH146-P) in a central location on an inside wall, about 1.5 meters (5 feet) above the floor. Connect the console to the control module using any two wires previously connected to your old thermostat. Next, consult the wiring table in the Aube TH146-P-2H1C's installation guide, which will provide instructions specific to your HVAC or heat pump system type. You'll connect necessary devices like the plenum sensor, outdoor sensor, and humidifier according to the guide. Configuration is next. Access the configuration switches located on the back of the console by loosening the captive screws. Set the Access Mode switch (SW1-1) to INST for Installer mode, or USER for User mode. Then, determine whether to lock the keypad or not with the Keypad Lock switch (SW1-2). Finally, access the configuration menu by pressing the Mode button for three seconds. Use the buttons to navigate and modify the thermostat settings. For operation, the thermostat offers Automatic, Manual, and Auto modes for heating and cooling changeover. You can set Balance Points to manage the heat pump or auxiliary heating based on outdoor temperature, and adjust Interstage Delay, Low/High-Temperature Limits, and Fan settings for optimal performance. The thermostat allows for pre-set schedules or manual temperature adjustments. If you encounter any issues, remember to consult the Aube Technologies support resources or the included three-year warranty information.
