Setting up your new Apple AirTag is a straightforward process. First, unpack your AirTag and remove the protective cover. Then, bring the AirTag close to your iPhone or another compatible Apple device, and your device should automatically detect it and display setup instructions. You'll primarily use the Find My app on your iOS device. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the AirTag with your Apple ID. After setup, attach the AirTag to the item you wish to track, like keys, a wallet, or a bag. You can use a keychain or adhesive to secure it. To track your belongings, open the Find My app on your iPhone. In the "Items" tab, you'll see a list of your connected AirTags. If you're nearby, you can use the app to play a sound on the AirTag to help locate the item. iPhone models with a U1 chip offer Precision Finding, providing more accurate directions. If an item is lost, you can activate Lost Mode in the Find My app, entering your contact information so that anyone who finds your item can contact you anonymously through the Find My network. You can also track your AirTag using another compatible Apple device signed in to your Apple ID or through iCloud.com. When the AirTag's is low, your iPhone will notify you. To replace the battery, twist the back cover counterclockwise and insert a new CR2032 coin cell battery. To remove an AirTag from your Apple ID, or if you no longer need to track it, unpair or delete it within the Find My app. For additional information, consult the Apple AirTag User Manual.
