To find the perfect angle for your OceanLED Explore E7 underwater boat light, follow these steps: First, ensure your boat is out of the water and level from stern to bow and port to starboard. You'll need a tool to measure angles, like a smartphone with a level measuring app. Remember that positive and negative angle values may differ based on your hull shape.
Next, use your smartphone app to measure the hull angle, making sure to note whether you're measuring on the port or starboard side. Record these angles for each light position. Then, consult the Light Angle Conversion Table provided in the OceanLED Explore E7 manual to find the recommended light angle for each position. If the boat wasn't perfectly level during measurement, adjust the recorded angle by adding or subtracting the offset value, referring to the conversion table for the correct Explore light angle.
For optimal results, position the lights 300mm below the Light Load Water Line, ensuring they're fully submerged when in use. Aim for a light beam angle of 10° to 15° below the waterline. Remember to follow the spacing guidelines for your specific Explore model. If you need more assistance or want to order, reach out to your OceanLED representative.
