Defrosting your Imprasio IMCF100 chest freezer is a straightforward process. First, unplug the freezer and remove the internal drain plug. Then, place a tray or container under the external drain plug to catch the water. Next, turn the drain dial 180 degrees to open the drain and allow water to flow into the container, preventing overflow by monitoring the container's level. Keeping the freezer door open will expedite the defrosting. Once the frost has melted, wipe the interior clean to remove any remaining water or ice. After that, push the drain dial back in and replace the internal drain plug. Finally, plug the freezer back in and set the temperature. It is advisable to defrost the freezer when substantial ice accumulates. Avoid using sharp tools to remove frost, as this could harm the evaporator.
