To manage inputs and outputs on your VIVOLINK VLHDMIMAT4X2RS 4x2 HDMI 2.0 Presentation Switcher, follow these steps. For manual switching:
- Select the output channel you want to control (Out A or Out B).
- Press the "Select" button on the corresponding output channel block (Out A or Out B) to choose the desired input source. The LED indicator for the selected input will illuminate green, confirming your selection.
To enable auto-switching:
- Press and hold the "Select" button on the output channel block (Out A or Out B) for at least 3 seconds. The "Auto" LED will turn green, indicating that auto-switching is active for that output.
Auto-Switching Behavior:
- The switcher prioritizes inputs sequentially, starting with input 1 and progressing to input 4, selecting the first active input.
- It automatically switches to a new input when a different active source is detected.
- Upon restarting, the switcher will automatically reconnect the input that was active before it was powered off.
- If an active source is disconnected, the switcher will switch to the next available active input, starting from input 1.
Additional Information:
- You can configure the detection method to TMDS or 5V using RS232 commands. Consult the VIVOLINK VLHDMIMAT4X2RS manual for details.
- While in auto-switching mode, pressing the "Select" button cycles through available inputs without disabling the auto-switching feature.
- To disable auto-switching, press and hold the "Select" button for at least 3 seconds on the relevant output channel (Out A or Out B), until the "Auto" LED turns off.
