To get your JAVAD TRE Evaluation Kit up and running, follow these straightforward connection steps. First, connect the TRE series OEM board directly to the Evaluation Kit using the 64-pin DIN41612 Euro connector. For the GNSS antenna, utilize the TNC to MMCX RA Antenna cable provided in the kit to link the OEM board to an external GNSS antenna. You might also need a separate external GNSS Antenna Cable. Power up the OEM board through the Evaluation Kit using the included power cable. Connect the banana plugs of the power cable to a laboratory power supply, , or any suitable power source that meets the specified requirements. For serial RS-232 communication, use a standard Null-Modem cable with DE-9 Female connectors at both ends to connect your PC's COM port to the serial ports on the Evaluation Kit. For RS-422 connections, use a Null-Modem RS-422 cable for data exchange between two OEM receivers or an OEM receiver and other external devices. Utilize a standard USB 2.0 High-Speed cable to connect the OEM receiver to your PC via the Evaluation Kit's USB port. To establish an Ethernet connection, use a high-quality UTP 5 or 5e category cable with RJ45 Male connectors to link the OEM receiver to a LAN, PC, or another OEM receiver directly. For CAN connections, use a Direct CAN cable for data exchange between two OEM receivers via the CAN interface. Always consult the manual for detailed wiring diagrams and instructions to ensure each connection is correctly set up. Should you run into any issues, the manual contains troubleshooting steps, or you can contact your local JAVAD dealer for technical support.
