Connecting your Sync EVT77G EV Charger to your home network unlocks its smart charging capabilities. Here's how to set it up:
- Get the App: Download the BG EV Charging app. You can find it through the Installer Portal on the syncev.co.uk website or by scanning the QR codes provided.
- Enable Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on your device and then open the BG_EV_Charging App.
- Enter Charger Details: Select your Charger ID Code, which you can find on the charger's identification label. Then, enter the default password: 12345678.
- Choose Your Connection Method: You have three options: Wi-Fi, 4G, or LAN. Only one can be active. If you select Wi-Fi:
- Choose your Wi-Fi network (SSID) from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password.
For LAN:
- Ensure "LAN DHCP" is enabled.
For 4G:
- This is typically pre-configured.
- Set Server URL: Select the server URL that matches your charging needs: 'Home Charge' for home use or 'Commercial' for other applications.
- Adjust Output Current: If the maximum output current supported by your home's electrical setup is less than 32A, adjust the setting accordingly.
- Select Charge Mode: Choose your preferred charge mode:
- 'APP': For smart charging using the consumer app.
- 'Plug and Charge': For immediate, non-smart charging.
- 'RFID': If you are using RFID authorization.
- Configure Dynamic Load Management (If Required): If you need dynamic load management, enable Power Distribution and set the sampling method to CT.
- Set Maximum Current Limit: Set the Maximum Current Limit to match or be less than your main fuse rating to ensure proper load balancing.
- Apply Settings: Press 'Set' to save your settings. The charger should beep to confirm.
- Verify Connection: Within two minutes, the indicator light on the charger should turn from yellow to blue, indicating a successful network connection. If it stays yellow, try power cycling the charger and double-checking your settings.
- Troubleshooting: If you can't connect to the network but need to use the charger, switch the Charge Mode to 'Plug and Charge' and press 'SET' again.
