Connecting your Onn Soundbar to your TV enhances your viewing experience. Here's how, using different connection methods:
-
HDMI Connection:
- Use an HDMI cable (often included with the soundbar) to connect your TV's HDMI OUT (or ARC/eARC) port to the Onn Soundbar's HDMI IN port.
- Ensure both devices are off before connecting.
- Power on both the TV and soundbar. In your TV's settings, navigate to the audio output options and select "external speakers," "HDMI ARC," or a similar setting to route the sound through your soundbar.
-
Optical Connection:
- Use an optical cable (often included) to connect the TV's OPTICAL OUT port to the Onn Soundbar's OPTICAL IN port.
- Make sure both the TV and soundbar are turned off before making the connection.
- Turn on the TV and soundbar. In your TV's audio settings, choose the optical output or digital audio output, then select your soundbar as the output device.
-
AUX Connection:
- Use a 3.5mm to RCA stereo audio cable (not included) to connect the TV's audio output port to the Onn Soundbar's AUX IN port.
- Ensure both your TV and soundbar are powered down before connecting.
- Once connected, switch on both devices. On your TV, select the option to output audio via the audio output or external speakers. On your soundbar, you might need to select AUX as the input source.
