Verifying the correct installation and operation of the CLAAS-JD Bridge on your Lexion 8800 combine involves a few straightforward steps:
Check the AutoTrac Pie Indicator: On your John Deere monitor, observe the AutoTrac Pie indicator. Following the installation of the CLAAS-JD Bridge, you should see at least one quarter of the Pie displayed. This confirms basic system installation.
Activate the AutoSteer-Enable Button: Press the AutoSteer-Enable button on your armrest. The AutoTrac Pie indicator should now show two quarters lit, indicating correct system configuration.
Engage Auto-Steering: Make sure the necessary conditions are met such as minimum speed and threshing activation. The Pie indicator should then show three quarters lit (Enabled). Press the Engage (Resume) button to activate Auto-Steering, which should result in all four quarters of the Pie indicator being displayed.
Disengage Auto-Steering: You can disengage Auto-Steering by pressing the Engage button again or by turning the steering wheel. Forcing the steering wheel will also automatically disengage the auto-steering function.
Fine-tune Steering Performance: Utilize your JD display to adjust steering performance. Drive in an open area at your target speed and adjust one parameter at a time. This allows you to optimize the steering performance until it meets your specific operational needs.
