To configure the HNET network address on your NIC-C card, follow these steps: First, identify the three rotary dial switches labeled S5, S6, and S7. These switches are located at the bottom of the front panel of your NIC-C card. These dials are used to set the three-digit HNET network address. Ensure the address set on the NIC-C card matches the address configured for it within your NCCNT WAN system. To set the address, rotate the pointers on each of the three dials to the corresponding numbers of your chosen address. For instance, if your address is 123, set the pointer on the 'hundreds' dial to '1', the 'tens' dial to '2', and the 'ones' dial to '3'. The acceptable address range is from 001 to 251. Remember to use leading zeros where needed. Avoid setting the address higher than 251 to prevent network conflicts. Correctly setting the network address using these switches is crucial for the NIC-C card's effective operation and communication within the network.
