Maintaining your Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum's performance requires regular filter cleaning. Here's a simple guide to washing your filters. First, ensure the vacuum is disconnected from the charger and the 'ON' trigger is not engaged. Your Dyson vacuum has two washable filters: Let's start with Filter A. Remove it from the top of the appliance. Rinse Filter A under cold water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze and twist the filter to remove excess water. Allow Filter A to dry completely for at least 24 hours. Avoid using a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or open flame to dry it. Once dry, return Filter A to its original position at the top. Next, wash Filter B. Twist Filter B anti-clockwise to the open position and remove it. Wash the inside of Filter B under cold running water, rotating the filter to ensure all pleats are covered. Gently tap Filter B against the side of the sink to remove debris. Repeat this process until Filter B is clean. Place Filter B upright to dry completely for at least 24 hours. When dry, return Filter B to its original position and twist it clockwise until it clicks. Washing your Dyson filters monthly, or more frequently if you vacuum fine dust, will help maintain optimal suction power.
