Maintaining the cleanliness of your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER water dispenser is crucial for both its performance and the quality of the water it dispenses. Here's a step-by-step guide to cleaning and sanitizing your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER, following the manufacturer's recommendations:
Preparation: Before you begin, ensure the cooling switch (#11) and the heating switch (#12) are in the 'off' (O) position, and unplug the dispenser from the power outlet.
Initial Rinse: Pour water into the top of the unit, where the water bottle typically sits. Dispense about 2 liters of water into a bucket by pressing both the hot water press paddle (#9) and the cold water press paddle (#6).
Draining the Water: Place a large bucket under the drain outlet (#14) located at the back of the unit. Remove the drain cover to allow the water to drain out. Important: Allow any hot water inside the machine to cool down completely before draining.
Removing Remaining Water: Dispense any remaining water from both the hot water spout (#8) and the cold water spout (#5) into a bucket.
Cleaning the Cold Tank: To eliminate mineral deposits, prepare a cleaning solution. Mix 4 liters of water with 200g of citric acid crystals (not included) or use a cleaning solution suitable for water dispensers. Remove the bottle supporter. Pour the solution into the cold tank and ensure the water can flow out of the hot water spout (#8). Plug in the power cord and turn the heating switch (#12) to the 'on' (I) position. Allow the solution to heat for 15 minutes. Then, turn the heating switch (#12) off (O) and let the solution cool for 20 minutes. Drain the cleaning solution from the drain outlet (#14). Rinse the unit thoroughly by following the rinsing instructions from steps 2-3 two or three times. Only disassemble the parts specifically mentioned in these instructions to avoid causing any damage.
Reassembly and Use: Once the cleaning and draining processes are complete, replace the drain cover and your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER water dispenser is ready for regular use.
For optimal performance and to maintain water quality, it's recommended to clean and sanitize your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER approximately every six months.
