Switching between contact and non-contact measurement modes on your UNI-T UT372D RPM meter is straightforward. Here's how:

Contact Measurement Mode:
- Attach the shaft contact (cone or internal cone) to the mechanical adapter's shaft.
- Power on the tachometer.
- Briefly press the MODE button to choose contact mode.
- Use the UNIT button to select your desired unit, either RPM or Hz.
- Ensure the shaft contact firmly touches the object you're measuring.
- Hold down the Measure button to start taking measurements.

Non-Contact Measurement Mode:
- Unscrew the quick release screws on both sides of the mechanical adapter and remove the adapter from the device.
- For RPM/Hz Measurement:
- Cut a 10mm x 10mm piece of reflective tape and stick it onto the object you're measuring.
- Position the tachometer steadily, keeping a distance of 50mm to 500mm between the laser aperture and the reflective tape on the object.
- Press the MODE button briefly to select non-contact measurement mode.
- Use the UNIT button to select RPM or Hz.
- Press and hold the Measure button to activate the laser and aim it at the reflective tape.
- For REV Measurement:
- Position the tachometer steadily, maintaining a distance of 50mm to 500mm between the laser aperture and the object.
- Press the MODE button briefly to select non-contact mode.
- Use the UNIT button to choose REV.
- Press and hold the Measure button to turn on the laser and direct it towards the object you want to count.
