Calibrating your APERA SX731 meter ensures accurate pH and conductivity measurements. Here's a step-by-step guide:
For pH Calibration:
- Power on the meter using the power button.
- Connect the 201T-S pH electrode to the meter.
- Enter calibration mode by briefly pressing the calibration key (c1 will flash).
- Rinse the pH electrode with distilled or deionized water and dry it gently.
- Immerse the electrode in a pH 7.00 buffer solution and stir briefly.
- Allow the reading to stabilize on the display.
- Finalize the first-point calibration by briefly pressing the calibration key again (pH 7.00 will flash).
- Rinse the pH electrode with distilled or deionized water and dry it gently.
- Immerse the electrode in a pH 4.00 buffer solution and stir briefly.
- Allow the reading to stabilize on the display.
- Finalize the second-point calibration by briefly pressing the calibration key again (pH 4.00 will flash).
- Rinse the pH electrode with distilled or deionized water and dry it gently.
- Immerse the electrode in a pH 10.01 buffer solution and stir briefly.
- Allow the reading to stabilize on the display.
- Finalize the third-point calibration by briefly pressing the calibration key again (pH 10.01 will flash).
- The meter will return to measurement mode, signifying successful calibration.
For Conductivity Calibration:
- Power on the meter using the power button.
- Connect the 2301T-S conductivity electrode to the meter.
- Enter calibration mode by briefly pressing the calibration key (cal will flash).
- Rinse the conductivity electrode with distilled or deionized water and dry it gently.
- Immerse the electrode in a 1413 μS standard solution and stir briefly.
- Allow the reading to stabilize on the display.
- Complete the calibration by briefly pressing the calibration key again (1413μS will flash).
- The meter will return to measurement mode, indicating the calibration is complete.
