Properly aligning the lock rods on your DIAMONDBACK CVR-2 Rear Loading ATV Carrier is crucial for optimal performance. Here's how to do it: First, unbolt and reposition one bolt on each of the lock-rod guide brackets. Use a 7/16” socket and move the bolts to the second, unused slot on each of the four brackets. Next, use the provided hex key to loosen the set screws for both the tail and cab panel lock rods. Ensure the correct orientation of each lock rod. Tighten each lock rod with the handle closed, and then with the handle open. After aligning the lock rods in the closed position, tighten all brackets using the 7/16" socket. While tightening, apply upward pressure on the bracket and downward pressure on the cover to ensure a tight seal. Repeat this for all bracket locations. Allow the panels to remain closed initially to help the weatherstrips settle. After a few days, the panels should operate smoothly. Remember, the cab panel features a safety spring lock handle designed to engage the lock rods when closing, preventing accidental opening during transport. Following these steps carefully will ensure the secure and effective installation of your DIAMONDBACK CVR-2 carrier.
