To adjust the hanging length of your Progress Lighting P550132-031 Two-Light Wall Lantern during installation, follow these steps. First, determine your desired hanging length and remove chain links (GG) accordingly. You can also trim the electrical and ground wires at this stage, but wait until the overall length is finalized. Ensure you leave a minimum of 6 inches of wire extending past the chain holder (EE) for easy connections. Next, open a chain link at one end of the chain (GG) and attach it to the chain loop (B), then close the chain link securely with pliers. Open the quick link (1), connect the other end of the chain (GG) and the chain holder (EE), and close the quick link. Now, weave the wires through every third chain link (GG) and pass them through the collar (DD) and canopy (HH). Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends. Connect the ribbed fixture wire to the white supply wire and the smooth fixture wire to the black supply wire using wire nuts (BB). Also, connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire. Finally, tuck the wires into the junction box, slip the canopy (HH) over the chain holder, and thread the collar (DD) onto the chain holder to secure the canopy to the wall.
