Expanding the storage on your ASRock iBOX 1200 Series is a straightforward process. Here's how to do it, along with important considerations:
For M.2 SSD Installation:
- Locate the M.2 slot on the motherboard inside the iBOX 1200 Series case.
- Carefully insert your M.2 SSD into the slot.
- Secure the M.2 SSD by tightening the appropriate screw.
For 2.5-inch Hard Drive Installation (Note: While possible, this is not recommended):
- Remove the four screws located on the bottom case of your iBOX 1200 Series and carefully lift off the bottom panel.
- Attach the HDD cage to the bottom panel and secure it using the provided screws.
- Connect the SATA data and power cables to your 2.5-inch HDD.
- Reinstall the bottom panel, ensuring it is properly secured.
Important Considerations:
- ASRock does not recommend installing a 2.5" HDD. If you choose to install one, consider placing your iBOX 1200 Series in a vertical position to improve cooling.
- Always verify that the storage device you're installing is compatible with the iBOX 1200 Series regarding type and size.
- To prevent damage from static electricity, ensure you follow proper grounding procedures during the installation process.
- For detailed visual guidance specific to your ASRock iBOX 1200 Series model, always refer to your user manual.
