Adding images to your iFixit questions or answers is easy. Here's how:
- Edit Your Post: Locate the question or answer you want to modify. In the top right corner of the post, you'll see "Options." Mouse over this to reveal a dropdown menu and select "Edit." This opens the Edit Post page.
- Insert Image: Position your cursor in the text where you want the image to appear. Click the image icon to open the Media Manager. Here, you can add images in a couple of ways:
- Upload from your Computer: Click "Add Media" and select the image files from your computer, or simply drag and drop them into the Media Manager.
- Add from the Web: You can paste an image link into the Media Manager and click "Grab Media" to insert an image from the internet.
- Add and Insert Your Image: Once your image is uploaded or grabbed, click on it within the Media Manager to insert it into your post. The image will appear where your cursor was positioned.
- Preview and Submit: After adding your image, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Preview Edit" to see how your post will look with the image. Review the preview. If everything looks correct, click "Submit Edit." If you need to make adjustments, go back and edit.
Important Note: For best results and to avoid any upload issues in iFixit's Media Manager, it's recommended to ensure your images are sized at 800 x 600 pixels.
