Setting the timer on your GiveU HWT13001-S2 Pillar Plastic Flickering Candles is simple. Here's how to do it using the switch on the candle: First, slide the power switch on the bottom of the candle to the "4/8 hour" position to turn it on. Then, slide the power switch to the "4 / 8 TIMER" position. The candle will stay lit for either 4 or 8 hours, depending on the switch position, and then automatically turn off for 20 or 16 hours respectively. This cycle will repeat daily. To reset the timer, switch the candle to the "OFF" position, and then back to "4 / 8 TIMER" at the time you want the candle to start. You can also use the remote control, if you have one. Ensure the candle is switched on using the power switch on the bottom of the candle (either 4 or 8-hour position). Remove the battery insulation sheet from the back of the remote. When the candle is on, press the timer button (2H, 4H, 6H, or 8H) on the remote to set your desired burn time. The candle will then stay lit for that duration and turn off for the corresponding time, restarting automatically at the same time the next day. For optimal performance, replace batteries as needed and remove them if the candles won't be used for an extended period.
