Activating the AquaClean water filter on your Philips 3200 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine is easy. Follow these steps:

1. Ensure the espresso machine is powered on.
2. Shake the AquaClean water filter vigorously for about five seconds.
3. Submerge the filter upside down in a container of cold water, shaking or pressing it for a few moments.
4. Insert the prepared filter vertically into the filter connection located inside the water tank. Push it down as far as it will go.
5. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and reinsert it into the machine.
6. If attached, remove the LatteGo milk carafe or any other milk frothing attachments.
7. Place a suitable container under the hot water spout or milk frother.
8. Press and hold the AquaClean icon on the machine's display for three seconds. You will notice the start light begin to pulse.
9. Press the start/stop button to initiate the activation procedure.
10. The machine will dispense hot water from the hot water spout or milk frother for approximately three minutes.
11. Once the activation process is complete, the blue AquaClean light will illuminate, confirming that the filter is correctly activated.

Important note: It's crucial to prepare the AquaClean water filter by soaking it in water before you begin the activation steps.
