To ensure your Wireless VITRON glass break detector is functioning correctly, follow these steps:
Step 1 Testing Mode Activation After securing the front cover, the Wireless VITRON detector enters test mode for 2 minutes. Alternatively, utilize the RG65 Glass Break Simulator. Place the simulator 1 meter away from the detector, set the lower selector to the "CODE" setting, and press the operating button. The Wireless VITRON will blink once every 3 seconds for 2 minutes.
Step 2 High-Frequency (Audio) Test Position the Glass Break Simulator at the furthest point from the protected glass, facing into the room. Set the lower selector to the "GLASS" setting and the upper selector to the type of glass being simulated. Generate a glass-break sound by pressing the operating button on the simulator. Confirm the Wireless VITRON lights up for 2 seconds, and an ALARM message is transmitted while the red LED is active.
Step 3 Environmental Testing Operate all potentially interfering devices within the protected area, such as air conditioners, fans, and radios. Observe the Wireless VITRON for any disturbances. If interference occurs, reposition the unit. Turn off all noise-generating equipment and wait for the unit to return to NORMAL mode.
Step 4 User Test Test the Wireless VITRON by clapping, whistling, or jingling keys under the detector while it's in normal mode. The LED should flash, indicating the detector is active and responding. By following these steps, you can confidently verify the functionality of your Wireless VITRON glass break detector, ensuring it effectively protects your glass panes.
