Setting the clock on your Sangean WR-2 Wooden Cabinet Digital Tuning Radio is straightforward. You have two primary methods: manual setting and automatic setting via the Radio Data System (RDS).
Manual Clock Setting:
- Press the Menu button on your Sangean WR-2.
- The display will show "CLOCK SET". Use the Tuning control to enter the clock setting mode.
- Rotate the Tuning control to select the correct hour, then press the Tuning control to confirm. The minute digits will begin to flash.
- Adjust the minutes using the Tuning control and press the Tuning control to confirm and finalize the clock setting.
Automatic Clock Setting (RDS):
- Tune to a radio station that broadcasts Radio Data System (RDS) data.
- Press the Menu button.
- Rotate the Tuning control until a clock symbol appears on the display. Then, press the Tuning control to enter the clock settings.
- Rotate the Tuning control until you see "RDS CT" (or "RBDS CT" in the US) displayed. Press the Tuning control to confirm.
- The Sangean WR-2 will automatically set the clock using the RDS data from the radio station. An RDS icon will be visible on the LCD screen, indicating that the time is synchronized with the RDS clock.
Important Note: The RDS feature is primarily available in Europe, the UK, parts of North America, and select Asian countries. If you are outside these areas or prefer manual setting, you can still easily set the clock manually by following these steps:
- Press the Menu button.
- Rotate the Tuning control until the clock symbol appears on the display. Press the Tuning control to enter the setting.
- Rotate the Tuning control until "MANUAL" is displayed. Press the Tuning control to select it.
- Follow the steps outlined in the "Manual Clock Setting" section to set the time.
