To customize the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password on your 4GXtream 3G/4G Router, follow these steps:
- Connect to the Network: Using a device like a PC, Mac, tablet, or smartphone, connect to the 4GXtream's default Wi-Fi network. The default password is "4GXtream."
- Access the Web Interface: Open a web browser and enter either http://4gxtream.lan or http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
- Log In: When prompted, enter the default login password, which is also "4GXtream."
- Navigate to Wireless Settings: In the router's settings, go to Network, then click on the Wireless menu to find the Wi-Fi settings.
- Change the Network Name (SSID): Look for the "Edit" icon (usually a pencil) next to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz network. Click it to change the SSID (the network name).
- Set a New Password: Select the "Wireless Security" option and enter a new password for your Wi-Fi network. It's best to create a strong password, including capital letters, lowercase letters, and numbers.
- Save and Apply Changes: Click the "Save & Apply" button to save your new settings. The router will restart, applying the changes.
- Reconnect Your Devices: Once the router restarts, wait for your device's Wi-Fi list to refresh and show your new network name. Connect to your Wi-Fi network using the new password you set. This process allows you to easily personalize your 4GXtream router's network for improved security and easy identification.
