Keeping your PowerPac IF7850 Evaporative Air Cooler clean is crucial for its performance and longevity. Here's a step-by-step guide to cleaning your air cooler: First, turn off the fan using the Control Button on the control panel or the ON/OFF button on the remote, then unplug the power cable, ensuring your hands are dry. Allow the appliance to cool completely. Clean the exterior using a damp cloth with warm water and detergent; avoid abrasive sponges and harsh chemicals like gasoline. Never pour water directly onto the appliance, especially the control panel. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dirt from the air inlet if needed. Next, remove the water tank from the bottom and back of the unit. Open the drain valve and empty the water tank completely. Then, unlock and remove the water pump. Clean the water tank with a damp cloth and detergent, avoiding metal scouring pads. Replace the water pump and lock it back into place, and secure the drain valve. Finally, remove the back shutter, the back dust filter, and the cooling pad. Clean these filters, pads, and shutters under running water, and allow them to air dry completely before reassembling the unit. Regularly cleaning your IF7850 ensures it runs efficiently and prevents issues caused by dust or debris.
