Connecting your MHK2 RedLINK Wireless Remote Controller to the Kumo cloud allows for remote access and control of your HVAC system. To get started, you'll need the Wireless Interface 2 (or later) properly installed and configured with the Kumo cloud app. Here’s a simple guide:
- Install and Configure the Wireless Interface: Follow the setup instructions that came with your Wireless Interface 2 or newer and the Kumo cloud app. This step gets your system online.
- Ensure RedLINK Connection: Make sure the MHK2 RedLINK Wireless Remote Controller is successfully linked to the Wireless Receiver. They need to communicate wirelessly.
- Initiate Connection on the Controller: On your MHK2 Controller, press and then release the CONNECT button. The CONNECT light should begin to flash, signaling it's trying to connect.
- Troubleshooting the CONNECT Light: If the CONNECT light doesn't flash, another receiver or RedLINK Wireless Receiver might be in wireless setup mode. Ensure only one device is in setup mode at a time. Exit setup mode on any other devices and try again, pressing the CONNECT button as needed.
- Wireless Setup Mode: Make certain that only one unit is in wireless setup mode at a time; press the CONNECT button again if needed.
- Receiver Confirmation: The CONNECT LED on the Wireless Receiver will flash green, indicating that it's in wireless setup mode and ready to connect.
- Establishing the Connection: Once the MHK2 Controller and Wireless Receiver are in wireless setup mode, they will establish a secure connection. The CONNECT LED on the Wireless Receiver will turn solid green when at least one RedLINK device is successfully connected to the receiver.
- Access Through the Kumo Cloud App: Once connected, you can use the Kumo cloud app to access and control your MHK2 Controller. Remember to consult the specific instructions provided with your Wireless Interface 2 (or later) and the Kumo cloud app for detailed setup guidance.
