Congratulations on your new Scheppach HL1020 Log Splitter! Here's a step-by-step guide to help you assemble it:
Wheel Assembly: Begin by sliding the wheel axle through the designated hole at the bottom, rear of the splitter. Attach the wheels to the axle and secure them using the provided splints.
Controller Handle Installation: Take the controller arm, which has a slotted hole, and insert it onto the rocker switch. Next, align the drilled hole on the arm with the threaded rod. Use a washer to secure the controller arm and then fasten it with a spring splint pin on the rocker switch and a self-locking nut on the threaded rod. Repeat this process for the other control arm on the opposite side.
Holder Arm Attachment: Insert both holder arms into the rectangular steel tubes located on the left side of the splitter. Fasten these arms using two M10 x 45 mm hexagon screws and self-locking nuts for each arm.
Trunk Lifter Holder Arm Mounting: Attach the holder arm for the trunk lifter to the frame using two hexagonal screws (M10 x 25). Do not fully tighten these screws at this stage.
Trunk Lifter Installation: Secure the trunk lifter between the brackets on the lower, right side of the splitter using a hexagon screw (M10 x 55) and a self-locking nut. Ensure there's a small gap (approximately 0.5 - 1 mm) between the holder arm and the trunk lifter when aligned.
Splitting Blade Chain Attachment: Connect the chain to the splitting blade.
Preparing for Operation: Connect the splitter to a power source. Lower both controller handles until the cylinder is positioned above the drilled holes at the top. Insert the shafts into these holes and secure them with spring pins. Bring the splitting blade to its highest position and remove the support.
