If your ALORAIR VentirPro 260 crawlspace ventilator fan isn't starting after installation, here's a troubleshooting guide to help you get it running:
Humidity Level Check: The fan activates based on the humidity level in your crawl space. Confirm that the humidity has surpassed the setting on your dehumidifier, which signals the fan to start. If the humidity is below the set point, the fan will remain off.
Outdoor Temperature Considerations: The VentirPro 260 incorporates a safety feature to prevent operation in freezing conditions. Specifically, the fan is designed to shut down when the outdoor temperature drops below 35°F. To resume normal operation, wait until the temperature rises to approximately 50°F.
Electrical Connection Verification: Confirm that the electrical circuit supplying the fan is functioning as intended and that all connections are secure and properly made. Problems such as a tripped breaker or loose wiring could be the reason for the fan not starting.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, and the fan remains off, we recommend contacting ALORAIR customer support for additional help. Remember to always disconnect the fan from the power supply before performing any troubleshooting or procedures for your safety.
