High-end models can. Additional information: High-end version: The high-end version of the Tiguan is equipped with Volkswagen's new technology, which automatically detects the infrared key. The key in your pocket will be automatically detected when near the door handle, automatically unlocking the doors. Similarly, it will automatically lock the car when you leave. Precautions when locking the car: When locking the car, it is more reliable to use the mechanical key, as this makes any interference devices ineffective. If you don't mind the inconvenience, using the mechanical key more often can save power and is even safer than using the smart key. When using the mechanical lock, make sure the doors are properly closed and you hear the sound of all doors locking; otherwise, the car has not been successfully locked.

I own a Tiguan and often forget to lock it. From my experience, some models automatically lock within a few minutes after closing the door, but you need to enable this feature in the settings first. My 2021 Tiguan is equipped with a keyless entry system. Once the auto-lock is set up, it clicks and locks itself when I walk a few meters away from the car. However, older models might not have this option, so it's best to check the owner's manual. To set it up, I go to the vehicle menu on the central display screen, find the lock option, and activate it. Developing a habit of listening for the alarm sound every time you lock the car is safer—if it's not locked, the car could easily be stolen. Don’t rely entirely on it; I recommend manually locking it to be sure.

How to Add Engine Oil by Yourself?

Steps for adding engine oil by yourself: 1. Pour high-quality gasoline engine oil with the viscosity specified by the vehicle manufacturer into the engine oil filler port until the oil level reaches the full mark on the dipstick, then stop adding; 2. Close the engine oil filler cap and let the engine idle for 5 minutes before shutting it off; 3. Wait for 3 minutes, then pull out the dipstick to check if the oil level is within the normal range; 4. Inspect the engine oil pan drain plug and the sealing interface of the oil filter for any leaks. If leaks are found, tighten them appropriately and run the engine again to check. If leaks persist after tightening, identify the cause and replace the parts before reassembling.

What is the difference between direct injection and electronic injection?

Differences between electronic injection and direct injection in automobiles: different definitions, different development speeds, and different fuel sufficiency levels. Below are the relevant content introductions: 1. Multi-point electronic injection: Multi-point electronic injection refers to the process where the gasoline engine injects fuel into the intake manifold during operation. The control program issues control commands according to a specific timing sequence, which is then executed by the electronic fuel injector. 2. Direct injection: Direct injection is a technology that directly injects fuel into the cylinder to mix with the intake air. Direct injection technology is gradually replacing multi-point electronic injection. Moreover, the development of direct injection technology is progressing very rapidly, with various automakers competing to analyze this technology, and the results are quite significant. Currently, Volkswagen is one of the automakers that has achieved relatively mature direct injection technology.

How Many Chances Are There for the Subject 2 Test?

There are five chances for the Subject 2 test, meaning you can schedule the test five times, with two attempts each time. Subject 2, also known as the small road test, is a component of the motor vehicle driver's license examination. It is the abbreviation for the field driving skills test, which includes the following items: reversing into a garage, stopping and starting on a slope, turning at a right angle, driving along a curve, and parallel parking. The time limits for Subject 2 are as follows: 1. The completion time for reversing into a garage must not exceed 210 seconds; 2. The completion time for parallel parking must not exceed 90 seconds; 3. For stopping and starting on a slope, you must start and go up the slope within 30 seconds after stopping.

What is the normal RPM when a car starts?

When starting, a car's RPM of 1200 to 1500 is normal. Here is relevant information: 1. Cold seasons: If it's during cold seasons, the engine RPM will be even higher because the vehicle would stall if the RPM is too low. A slightly higher RPM helps warm up the car more quickly. However, during a cold start, the RPM should not be too high either, as the lubricating oil cannot reach the upper part of the engine. To reduce wear, keeping it within 2000 RPM is more appropriate. Once the engine stabilizes, the RPM will drop to around 800. 2. Engine introduction: An engine is a machine capable of converting other forms of energy into mechanical energy. It originated in the UK and can refer to either the power-generating device or the entire machine, including the power unit.

Where is the trunk release button located?

The trunk release button is located on the door trim panel, specifically on the left front door (driver's side position). Simply lift the button upwards with your hand to open the trunk. In most cases, the trunk light and trunk switch are integrated. When the trunk opens, the light turns on, and vice versa. If the trunk light remains on, this indicates an issue with the trunk sensor switch. This sensor functions like a retractable spring - it pops out when the trunk is open and gets pressed in by the trunk edge when closed. In such cases, you need to check whether the sensor is faulty. If damaged, the component should be replaced; if functional, inspect whether the trunk lock cylinder is operating normally.

How Long Does It Take to Replace a Bumper?

Replacing a bumper typically takes two to four days, but it can be done in about an hour if scheduled in advance. A bumper consists of an outer panel, cushioning material, and a crossbeam. The outer panel and cushioning material are made of plastic, while the crossbeam is formed from cold-rolled sheet metal pressed into a U-shaped channel. The outer panel and cushioning material are attached to the crossbeam, which is then screwed to the vehicle's frame rails. The car bumper is located at the front and rear of the vehicle and serves the following purposes: 1. It absorbs and mitigates external impact forces during collisions, providing cushioning to protect both the vehicle and its occupants; 2. It harmonizes with the vehicle's overall design, offering an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
