Will the paint crack after a dent is repaired with paintless dent repair?

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a technique that restores the original paint of a car without damaging it, provided that the paint is not broken. However, not all dents are suitable for PDR, as this method has its limitations. If the dented area of the car body is overstretched, causing permanent deformation of the metal body, the paint may also exceed its deformation tension. In such cases, even after using PDR, there is a possibility of localized paint cracking. In these situations, the dent can first be maximally repaired using PDR to achieve a near-perfect result, followed by localized treatment of the paint surface. This avoids the need for full panel repainting, although the repair cost may be relatively higher.
