Canceling Subject 3 generally does not result in a refund. However, the fee remains in your account and can be used for the next exam. It will not be invalidated. Introduction to Subject 3: Subject 3 includes the road driving skills test and the safety and civilized driving knowledge test. It is part of the motor vehicle driver's license assessment and is the abbreviation for the road driving skills and safety and civilized driving knowledge test subjects in the motor vehicle driver's exam. Regulations for Subject 3: For the road driving skills test of Subject 3, there are five opportunities to schedule the exam. After scheduling, you can take the exam once and have one retake. If you do not attend the retake or fail the retake, you must reschedule the exam.
I canceled my Subject 3 test last year due to personal reasons, and after communicating with the driving school, I did get a partial refund. The driving school's policy usually calculates refunds based on the training progress—for example, how many lessons you've taken. They will deduct the costs already incurred, such as the instructor's salary and venue fees, and may refund the remaining amount. However, each driving school is different; some clauses state that the refund ratio decreases after training begins, and some even deduct service fees. I recommend checking the contract first, then calling or visiting the front desk to inquire. If the refund is denied or too small, try negotiating and emphasizing your special circumstances. In any case, don’t expect a full refund—it’s important to understand the driving school’s specific rules to avoid greater losses.
