Will the Heating Wire Be Ruined When Removing the Rear Film?
1 Answers
Removing the rear film can indeed damage the heating wire. In most cases where the heating wire is damaged, aside from issues with the film's quality itself, it is often due to unprofessional technicians. The heating wire has an enamel coating on its surface, and improper removal techniques can damage this enamel even if the wire itself isn't broken. The rear windshield is different from other glass as it contains heating wires. Mishandling during the removal process can easily cause the heating wires to break, resulting in the loss of the rear windshield defogging function. Carefully removing the film is also very time-consuming, which is why few auto detailing shops are willing to take on this task unless they are applying a new film afterward.
