Will the engine light come on if water enters the engine?

Water entering the engine will cause the check engine light to illuminate. Principle of the check engine light: The engine fault signal is issued by the engine control unit (ECU), which controls all electronic components of the engine, including the electronic throttle, fuel injectors, alternator, fuel pump, etc., covering various systems such as intake, exhaust, fuel, ignition, and timing. If the check engine light comes on, it simply indicates an abnormality in a certain system. To determine the specific fault, a diagnostic scanner must be used to read the unique fault codes for each vehicle brand. Will the check engine light disappear on its own: Once the check engine light comes on, it means the engine parameters have changed. A common cause of such parameter changes is excessive carbon buildup. If this issue is not resolved, the engine's combustion state cannot return to normal, and the check engine light will remain illuminated and will not disappear on its own.
