Will the airbag alarm go off if the seat belt sensor is broken?

If the seat belt sensor is broken, the airbag alarm will go off. While driving, the airbag warning light often remains illuminated. The possible causes of this fault are as follows: Communication error: It could be due to a loose connection in the sensor socket or the computer socket. Check whether the wiring harness from this sensor plug to the airbag computer is normal. After disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for one minute, unplug the airbag sensor connector. Use the ohm setting to measure the wiring harness from the airbag sensor plug to the airbag computer. No short circuit or high resistance was found. Due to safety reasons, the airbag components cannot be measured with a multimeter. Short circuit in the side airbag system power supply: For the side airbag component inspection, it is still not possible to measure directly with a multimeter. However, components with equal resistance can be used to replace the side airbag components, providing the computer with a substitute value.
