Will Running a Red Light at Night Be Captured by Cameras?

If there are cameras, they will capture the violation. Whether a motor vehicle runs a red light while turning left or going straight, it constitutes illegal behavior. According to the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law, vehicles must obey traffic signals, including traffic lights, traffic signs, road markings, and the directions of traffic police. If both the left-turn signal and the straight signal are green, going straight from a left-turn lane violates the designated lane rules. When the left-turn signal is red, running the red light should be penalized. Here are some tips to avoid running a red light: Check the arrow light first, then the circular light: Currently, there are two types of traffic signals: arrow traffic lights and circular traffic lights. When arrow lights are present, drivers should first observe the arrow light and then the circular light to avoid running a red light. Note: When encountering a circular red light, right turns are allowed. However, if the right-turn arrow signal is red, right turns are prohibited; otherwise, it will be penalized as running a red light. Brake in time: When the red light turns on, do not let the front of the vehicle cross the stop line. If the front wheels accidentally cross the line and the rear wheels follow, the electronic camera will capture it, and it will be penalized as running a red light. If the front wheels have just crossed the stop line when the signal turns red, the vehicle must not proceed through the intersection and should wait for the green light. Check the green light countdown before proceeding: When the green light flashes, if there is a countdown, drivers can judge accordingly. If there is no countdown and the vehicle is close to the intersection with high speed, it may proceed to avoid running a red light due to untimely braking. If the speed is slow and the vehicle is far from the intersection, the driver should brake immediately to stop and avoid running the red light. Article 38 of the Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China states: When the green light is on, vehicles are allowed to proceed, but turning vehicles must not obstruct the passage of straight-moving vehicles or pedestrians. When the yellow light is on, vehicles that have already crossed the stop line may continue to proceed. When the red light is on, vehicles are prohibited from proceeding. At intersections without non-motor vehicle or pedestrian signals, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians should follow the motor vehicle signals. When the red light is on, right-turning vehicles may proceed if they do not obstruct the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians. Running a red light is not considered illegal under the following circumstances: Yielding to emergency vehicles: Yielding to ambulances, fire trucks, or other emergency vehicles. If a violation is captured by surveillance cameras while yielding to such vehicles, manual review will not record the act as running a red light. Even if recorded, drivers can apply for reconsideration at the traffic police department. Extreme weather: When visibility is extremely low, making it difficult even for electronic police to clearly see the traffic lights, the captured evidence may be blurry. In such cases, mistakenly running a red light will not be penalized. Emergency situations: When transporting a critically ill patient to the hospital, running multiple red lights may be unavoidable. After delivering the patient, the driver can provide proof from the hospital or the rescued person to the traffic police for verification. If confirmed, the violation records will be cleared. If possible, calling an ambulance is recommended to avoid accidents caused by running red lights. Traffic police direction: During peak hours, traffic police may temporarily direct traffic at important intersections. Drivers should follow the gestures of the traffic police. The traffic police department states that according to the Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, when the yellow light flashes at an intersection, vehicles that have already crossed the stop line may continue to proceed. If the yellow light is already on and the driver still proceeds, it will be considered running a red light if captured.

What Are the Hazards of Flood-Damaged Cars to the Engine?

The impact on the engine includes deformation of the engine connecting rod, leading to shortened piston strokes and insufficient compression of gases. Below is relevant information: 1. Flood-Damaged Cars: These are vehicles that have been submerged in water, typically referring to those where the engine and transmission have been soaked, with water levels exceeding the wheels and seats, and the underbody components being in prolonged contact with water. Such vehicles pose significant risks, as their electrical systems are prone to short circuits and fires. 2. Classification: Water levels above the chassis indicate immersion; levels above the oil dipstick indicate partial submersion; levels above the hood and dashboard indicate complete submersion.

What Causes the Loss of Power Steering After a Car Goes Through Water?

After driving through water, the steering wheel becomes heavier. The reasons are as follows: 1. Drive belt gets wet: When a car goes through water, its components may inevitably get wet. In this case, the hydraulic power steering pump's drive belt may slip due to contact with water, reducing steering assistance and making the steering wheel heavier. 2. Water entering the electric power steering components after driving through water may cause circuit malfunctions. 3. Water entering the steering gear during water driving may lead to internal mechanical failure. 4. Moisture in the steering gear wiring harness connector may cause temporary short circuits. 5. Water entering the suspension bushings increases steering resistance. 6. Water mixing with the power steering fluid reduces its functionality, increasing steering resistance.

What are the types of vehicle speed sensors?

There are several types of vehicle speed sensors: 1. Magnetic speed sensor; 2. Hall effect speed sensor; 3. Photoelectric speed sensor. The vehicle speed sensor is a device used to detect the speed of electronically controlled vehicles, providing input signals to the control computer to regulate engine idle speed, torque converter lock-up in automatic transmissions, automatic transmission shifting, and the operation of engine cooling fans and cruise control. Magnetic speed sensor: It is an analog AC signal generator, typically consisting of a magnetic core with two terminals and a coil. Hall effect sensor: A solid-state sensor primarily used for detecting crankshaft rotation angle and camshaft position, triggering ignition and fuel injection circuits. Photoelectric speed sensor: A solid-state optoelectronic semiconductor sensor composed of a rotating disc, two optical conductor fibers, a light-emitting diode, and a phototransistor serving as the light sensor.
