Will Removing PPF Damage the Paint?

Removing PPF (Paint Protection Film) will not damage the paint. High-quality PPF is made of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), which is an elastic rubber material that causes no harm to the car's paint. Even when peeled off, it won’t leave any adhesive residue. In the early days of PPF, the material used was low-quality plastic film, which could indeed damage the paint. The key is to avoid purchasing inferior PPF—low-quality films appear dull, have a stiff texture, are prone to edge lifting, bubbling, and yellowing. Not only do they fail to protect the paint, but they can also cause damage. Additionally, after a significant scratch or collision, the removal process of such films may further harm the paint.
