Will points be deducted for shifting to the wrong gear in Subject 2?

No points will be deducted. Subject 2 mainly assesses the candidate's ability to control the vehicle's position on the field. Shifting to the wrong gear generally does not result in point deductions, but if a wrong gear is detected, it is still necessary to promptly shift to the correct gear to avoid affecting the vehicle's performance and, consequently, the operation of the vehicle. Automatic transmissions in cars are divided into: P (Park), R (Reverse), N (Neutral), and D (Drive), with some cars also having an S (Sport) mode. P stands for Park: used when the car is parked. R stands for Reverse: used when the car is reversing. N stands for Neutral: used when the car is stationary. Note that when in Neutral, the brake should be engaged to prevent the car from rolling. D stands for Drive: the most commonly used gear for driving, which automatically shifts based on the driver's throttle input. S mode, like D, is also a driving mode. The difference is that S mode provides stronger power than D mode, allowing for quicker acceleration, hence it is also called Sport mode. S mode is primarily used for overtaking on curves and climbing slopes, as it offers stronger power, making overtaking and climbing easier.
