Driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street, whether it's an out-of-town or local vehicle, regardless of the city in China, will result in a penalty of 3 points and a fine. Traffic Management Law: According to Article 25 of the "People's Republic of China Expressway Traffic Management Regulations," motor vehicle drivers who violate the following behaviors will be fined and may also have their driver's license suspended for 12 months: driving a motor vehicle prohibited from entering the expressway onto the expressway; overtaking or changing lanes improperly; reversing, driving in the wrong direction, or making U-turns or turns across the central divider on the expressway; parking improperly. Penalty Regulations: According to the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses" (Ministry of Public Security Order No. 123), motor vehicle drivers committing any of the following violations will be penalized with 3 points: driving a motor vehicle without properly overtaking, yielding, or driving in the wrong direction.
