Road Traffic Safety Law: It stipulates that no unit or individual may assemble motor vehicles or alter the registered structure, construction, or characteristics of a motor vehicle without authorization; nor may they change the model, engine number, frame number, or vehicle identification code of a motor vehicle. Vehicle Impoundment: Driving an illegally modified motor vehicle on the road will result in the vehicle being impounded by the traffic management department of the public security authority. The illegal modifications will be confiscated, the owner will be ordered to restore the vehicle to its original condition, and a fine will be imposed according to the law. Fines and Detention For illegally modified motor vehicles, the traffic management department of the public security authority will not issue a safety technical inspection compliance mark. Exceeding the prescribed speed limit will result in a fine imposed by the traffic management department of the public security authority, and the driver's license may be revoked. If the act constitutes a violation of public security management, the public security authority will impose fines, detention, and other penalties in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Public Security Administration Punishment Law.
