Demerit points before license upgrade will be counted towards the upgraded driver's license. You can apply for a license upgrade if you have not accumulated 12 demerit points in the most recent three consecutive scoring cycles before applying. Medium-sized bus driving license category: You must have held a driving license for small cars, small automatic transmission cars, low-speed trucks, or three-wheeled vehicles for more than three years, with no full demerit point record in the most recent two consecutive scoring cycles before applying; or have held a driving license for city buses or large trucks for more than one year, with no full demerit point record in the most recent scoring cycle before applying. Tractor driving license category: You must have held a driving license for medium-sized buses or large trucks for more than three years, with no full demerit point record in the most recent two consecutive scoring cycles before applying; or have held a driving license for large buses for more than one year, with no full demerit point record in the most recent scoring cycle before applying. Large bus driving license category: You must have held a driving license for medium-sized buses or large trucks for more than five years, with no full demerit point record in the most recent three consecutive scoring cycles before applying; or have held a driving license for tractors for more than two years, with no full demerit point record in the most recent scoring cycle before applying.
