Will adding too much engine oil affect the car?

Adding too much engine oil can indeed affect the car. It may lead to carbon deposits in the cylinders, accelerate the wear of the cylinder piston rings, and cause carbon buildup in the fuel injectors, thereby reducing the efficiency of the cylinders. Excessive oil can also decrease the engine's output power. When the engine is running, the crankshaft and connecting rod ends move rapidly. If there is too much oil, the crankshaft and connecting rods will experience intense agitation. Engine oil serves to lubricate and reduce friction, assist in cooling, seal to prevent leaks, protect against rust and corrosion, and act as a shock absorber. The base oil is the main component of lubricating oil, determining its fundamental properties, while additives can compensate for and improve any shortcomings in the base oil's performance, providing certain new characteristics.
