Exhaust check valve failure will not cause oil burning. The exhaust valve refers to the circulation system that returns exhaust gases from the crankcase to the intake system for re-entry into the cylinders for combustion. The function of the automobile exhaust valve is to allow exhaust gases to recirculate into the cylinders for combustion. A small amount of exhaust gas reduces the temperature in the cylinders during combustion. Since NOX is generated under high-temperature, oxygen-rich conditions, this inhibits NOX formation, thereby reducing NOX content in the exhaust. Symptoms of a faulty exhaust check valve include extremely unstable idle speed or even stalling, flashing malfunction indicator light, failure to meet annual emission inspection standards, oil burning, and blue exhaust smoke. When the exhaust valve remains constantly open, the vehicle may exhibit black smoke emission, poor acceleration, and increased fuel consumption. When the exhaust valve remains constantly closed, it will affect the vehicle's exhaust emissions.
