Will a damaged car be compensated if it is flooded?

If the vehicle is parked and gets flooded, and it has comprehensive insurance, full compensation will be provided. Compensation rules: If you have purchased comprehensive insurance, it will cover losses other than the engine. If you have both comprehensive insurance and water damage insurance, it will cover losses including the engine. However, if the engine is damaged due to the owner restarting it a second time, it will not be compensated. Handling procedure: If the vehicle is submerged in water, immediately notify the insurance company and request their staff or an authorized third-party appraiser to conduct an on-site inspection. However, in most cases, when dealing with a large number of flood-damaged vehicles, the insurance company may not be able to arrive promptly. In such cases, the owner or policyholder can take photos of the flooded scene using a camera or mobile phone as evidence for the claim.
