Why was the Haojue Eagle discontinued?

Haojue Eagle is a small scooter model launched by Haojue in the second half of 2019. It attracted a lot of attention from motorcycle enthusiasts due to its aggressive exterior design and excellent ESS engine. However, it was later discontinued on major online shopping platforms. There are two possible reasons for this: Limited inventory on online platforms: During the initial release of the Haojue Eagle, sales were booming, and the inventory on major online shopping platforms was limited. It quickly sold out, but there was still stock available in physical stores. Phased out by the market over time: With the continuous evolution of the motorcycle industry, although the Haojue Eagle had many advantages at its launch, Haojue's own products have been constantly updated and upgraded. By 2021, the Haojue Eagle gradually became obsolete in the market.
Last time I chatted with a Haojue dealer, I heard the Eagle was discontinued mainly due to sales issues. This model's positioning was a bit awkward—priced in the mid-range at over 10,000 yuan, it didn't appeal to young buyers who opted for cheaper commuter bikes, while those seeking better configurations would spend a bit more on the AFR or UHR. The factory also needed to free up production lines for best-selling models. The scooter market has been fiercely competitive in recent years, with Haojue shifting focus to 150cc+ models and electric vehicles. Dealers faced significant inventory pressure, leading to the phasing out of marginal models. However, decent second-hand units can still be found, offering a good opportunity for enthusiasts to snag a bargain.
